Petroleum

Luwar has a well-established petroleum business, whereby we import/export petroleum wholesale, store in our own facilities and supply to our clients as well as transport various petroleum items domestically and internationally. Our past clients have consisted of the Government of Afghanistan, the International Security Assistance Force, private wholesalers, etc.

We have specialized in the fuel supply chain throughout Afghanistan and Central Asia for several years, and have established solid business affiliation with major refineries and fuel suppliers in Turkmenistan and Russia, Azerbaijan, etc. Moreover, we have suppliers (fuel wholesalers) located to the south of the border in Pakistan.

Luwar either owns or leases 220 tank trucks for its delivery operations of fuel. The majority of these trucks have the capacity to deliver 30,000 liters of fuel at any given time. Furthermore, to operate efficiently, we own and operate a fleet maintenance facilities throughout the region.

In addition, Luwar owns and/or leases and operates 10 modern fuel storage facilities throughout the region. They vary in capacity between 100,000 gallons to 1.3 million gallons. All of our facilities have been professionally designed and constructed to exceed the most rigid of international API standards. Moreover, these facilities possess and operate API standard filtration processes as well as epoxy coated jet storages. On average, these facilities have 13 tanker truck upload/download points. They also have JP8 blending capability with injectors and on-site quality assurance testing laboratories.
